"Patterns" by Marj Green

<br> Steamships needed constant repair to keep them running and delivering freight to the mines and mills. The Young Foundry &amp; Machine Shop fabricated these forms from a special wood that could withstand changes in humidity without warping. They allowed the casting of parts that would fit perfectly. Such beautiful shapes and tones begged to be photographed.
